"Max and Moritz is a German language illustrated story, published in 1865, telling the story of two bad boys who terrorize their village by playing cruel and malicious pranks.

There are seven parts to the story, written in rhyme, that detail their pranks.  The author, Wilhelm Busch (1832-1908) showed, in the seventh and final story,  that bad behavior is eventually punished. "
